Total Duration: The entire TOEFL exam typically lasts for about 3 to 4 hours.

Scoring System:

The test is scored on a scale of 0-120, assessing a candidate’s ability to comprehend, communicate, and write effectively in English.

  1. Reading Section: The Reading section is scored on a scale of 0 to 30.
  2. Listening Section: The Listening section also has a score range of 0 to 30.
  3. Speaking Section: The Speaking section is scored out of 30. Human graders evaluate the recorded responses based on pronunciation, content, and language use.
  4. Writing Section: The Writing section is also scored out of 30. Human graders assess the written responses based on coherence, organization, vocabulary, and grammar.

Each of the four sections is scored independently, and the scores are not averaged. The total TOEFL score is the sum of the scores from each section, giving a maximum total score of 120.
