Details of CS Foundation Program
The Foundation Program is the first level of the Company Secretaryship course offered by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). It is designed to provide a strong foundation for students who aspire to become qualified Company Secretaries. Here are the details of the Program:
1. Eligibility:
To be eligible , a student must have completed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
2. Duration:
The CS Foundation Program has a duration of approximately 8 months from the date of registration. It occurs twice a year, with exams in June and December.
3. Curriculum:
The program covers the following four subjects:
Business Environment and Law
Ethics, and Entrepreneurship, Business Management
Business Economics
Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing
4. Examinations:
This consists of two modules, each containing two papers.
Examinations are in a computer-based mode, and the papers are multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive type.
The passing criteria vary for each paper and are set by the ICSI.
5. Examination Schedule CS Foundation Program :
The CS Foundation Program exams are usually held in June and December. Exact dates and schedules are provided by the ICSI.
6. Registration:
To register for the CS Foundation Program, students need to apply online through the ICSI website and submit the required documents.
