Sainik Schools offer admission at the level of Class VI and Class IX. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE).
NTA conducts the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE)-for admission to Class VI and Class IX.Test is for 33 Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year . Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE.At the same time They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies, for Officers.Students boys and girls aged between 10 to 12 years are eligible for Sainik School admission Class 6. Students whose age is between 13 to 15 years can apply for AISSEE admission Class 9.
The AISSEE syllabus for both Class 6 & 9 is prescribed by the Sainik school society. Moreover Sainik School Admission test syllabus includes the CBSE Class 5th and CBSE Class 8th syllabus.
To qualify the Sainik school examination, students need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each subject and a minimum of 40% aggregate marks. However, qualifying the AISSEE entrance exam doesn’t guarantee the selection and call for the medical exam. Though, no minimum marks are prescribed for candidates belonging to ST as well as SC category.
