What Is the IAS Examination?
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is one of India’s premier civil services. Recruitment to the IAS takes place through the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

UPSC Civil Services Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination
Two objective-type papers assess general studies, comprehension, reasoning and basic numerical ability. Prelims is a screening stage.
Main Examination
