ACC Army Cadet College is located at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Personnel selected for ACC course should report to IMA for training. ACC course duration is 4 years. Graduation degree will be awarded to all ACC Army Cadet College course cadets after successful completion of prescribed training.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF ACC Army Cadet College, IMA
In order to join Indian Army Cadet College (ACC) aspirant should be a serving soldier in Indian Army, Navy or Indian Air Force. Applicants should not have any adverse remarks during their service period.
Indian Army ACC Eligibility Criteria & Exam Syllabus
Age Limit:- Limitation of age play most important role in any Indian army exam. Publication of ACC entrance exam notification, notified by AGs Br Via Units and MP directorate with brief eligibility criteria. Age limit are specified in this notification. candidates who are going to fill Army Cadet College admission form for 3 year degree course must read notification and get accurate(minimum & maximum) age limitation before application form submission.
- Minimum Age:- 20.
- Maximum Age:- 27.
Educational Qualification:- Candidates must pass in high secondary class or 12th or 10+2 and coequal/ equivalent.
All candidates who apply for Army Cadet College course will have to write an entrance exam (ACC entrance test). Based on the performance of ACC course test, Indian Army will call shortlisted candidates for ACC SSB interview. SSB interview will proceed as per laid down procedure and does not differ with other course SSBs. It is a five day interview consisting of various psychological and group testing tests.
Syllabus:-
The entry is possible in ACC admission via written test, which become a first stage of selection. SSB select the candidates for ACC courses on the basis of written exam performance and interview, which is compulsory to all applicants who want to join Army Cadet College. The syllabus will be divide into four section.
Section/ Paper 1:- GMAT (General Mental Ability Test):- In this section all topics are related to conceptual and intellectual ability of examinees. It considers two types of question that is “Argument & Data Sufficiency. Numerical, Reasoning & Verbal Ability are come under this section.
Section/ Paper 2:- CGA (Current General Awareness):- In this section board test that how much examinees are aware & have the knowledge of GA(General Awareness). Military awareness, current general situation & mental ability.
Section/ Paper 3:- Interactive Communication of English:- In this section English language are most considered. Understanding, communication and knowledge of English are must to clear this paper.
Section/ Paper 4:- ACT (Academic Content Test):- This academic paper will create with mathematics, Humanities and General Science topics.
Training of all cadets at Army Cadet College is of three years. After three years of training in ACC wing, candidates will be awarded commissioning in the Indian Army and will have to undergo one year training at Indian Military Academy.
